The wear system is the machine
A commercial treadmill is a steel frame around four things that wear: the running belt, the deck under it, the rollers it tracks on, and the drive motor pushing it. Everything else — consoles, handrails, plastics — is either cosmetic or straightforward to address. A machine with a strong frame and a properly serviced wear system will outlast a cosmetically prettier one that never saw a shop.
That is exactly what the Cleaned & Serviced process exists for: wear components are inspected and lubricated, calibrated, or replaced if not functional before the machine ships. On a Remanufactured unit, wear parts are replaced with new outright. Either way you are not inheriting the previous facility's deferred maintenance — which is the real risk of buying a used treadmill from a private listing or an auction floor.
Hours matter less than history
Buyers ask for hour counts the way used-car buyers ask for mileage, but two treadmills with identical hours can be in completely different condition depending on maintenance. Most of the used cardio moving through our floor is in the three-to-five-year-old range — machines engineered for roughly a decade of club duty — so what determines value is the condition of the wear system now, not the date on the serial tag. That is also why age alone is the wrong filter.
The electrical requirement to handle before delivery
This is the one that catches people. A 110V commercial treadmill requires a dedicated 20-amp circuit — its own circuit, with the hot, neutral, and ground independently isolated rather than looped or shared — terminating in a NEMA 5-20R outlet. It is on our pre-install checklist for every job, because a treadmill delivered to a room without its circuit is a treadmill that cannot be commissioned that day, and a return trip has a real cost. If you are putting in a bank of them, each needs its own. Sort it with your electrician before the truck is scheduled, not after.
Plan the path and the placement
Commercial treadmills ship heavy and largely pre-assembled. Measure the doorways, note the stairs, and tell us what the route looks like when you request a quote — home and commercial deliveries are quoted differently for exactly this reason, and inside placement is a real service in the areas our crews cover, not an assumption.
