What a real install day looks like
Before a truck rolls, a site survey confirms the path: door widths, stair flights, elevator dimensions, where the truck can park, and whether treadmills have their dedicated 20-amp circuits in place (a 110V commercial treadmill needs its own NEMA 5-20R outlet — it's on our pre-install checklist for a reason). On the day, the crew places, levels and tests each machine where it will live, and if old equipment is coming out, extraction happens on the same visit so the floor is never half-finished. Curbside is the default; inside delivery and install are real add-ons
The listed freight quote covers curbside delivery — heavy, pre-assembled commercial machines brought to your address. Inside placement, stair carries, and full installation are real services with real costs, priced by what your building actually requires, and available in the service areas our crews cover. We'd rather quote that honestly up front than surprise you at the curb with a treadmill on a pallet. Buying freight insurance and inspecting for carrier damage at delivery are part of that same conversation — our terms spell out how freight claims work.

What actually happens between “quote accepted” and a machine running on your floor
Commercial fitness equipment ships heavy and pre-assembled — a treadmill at 300–450 lb, a stack machine at 500–900 — so freight is quoted per order against your real address rather than hidden in a flat rate, and the delivery type changes the job: a driveway with a garage door, a commercial dock with freight hours, a flight of stairs, an elevator that may or may not take the machine. Curbside delivery is the default; inside placement, stair carries and full installation are real services with real costs, quoted honestly up front rather than discovered at the curb.
Below is the sequence from site survey to commissioned machine, how it differs for a home, an amenity room and a commercial floor, the equipment that most changes the job, the terms that govern it, and what you can do before the truck rolls so everything is commissioned on the first visit.

The delivery sequence, step by step
Six stages, in order. Most delivery problems are a skipped one.
1. The site survey
Before a truck rolls: door widths, stair flights, elevator dimensions, where the truck can park, dock hours or quiet hours, and whether each treadmill has its dedicated 20 A circuit in place. The same questions on every job, home or commercial.
2. Site readiness on your side
Space cleared, flooring down, circuits run, old equipment ready to come out. Our terms make site readiness the buyer’s responsibility, and the practical reason is that a treadmill delivered to a room without its circuit cannot be commissioned that day.
3. Freight to the address
Quoted per order to your ZIP and delivery type. The listed quote covers curbside — the machine brought to your address on a pallet or a liftgate. Freight insurance is available as an add-on and worth discussing on a long lane.
4. Inspect before you sign
Freight carriers enforce their own damage-claim rules: inspect every piece and note any damage with the carrier at delivery, before signing. Damage not noted at delivery may become your responsibility; where you arrange your own carrier or pickup, the claim is yours to file.
5. Placement, leveling, commissioning
With inside delivery or installation, the crew moves each machine to where it lives, levels it, connects and tests it — treadmill belts tracked, consoles powered, stacks running — on a finished floor.
6. Extraction on the same visit
If old equipment is coming out, it leaves on the same visit so the floor is never half-finished — and we buy, consign or credit what has value.

Condition tier: Free local pickup at the DFW warehouse is the alternative near Dallas — knowing picked-up equipment is taken as-inspected and warranty applies to delivered equipment.
The property delivery
Gate, clubhouse doors, elevator, quiet hours
An apartment, HOA, hotel or corporate room — not a loading dock by default.

Doors, stairs, elevator, parking, hours, which floor. Photos of the route help more than descriptions. It is the difference between a quote that is right and a surprise at the curb.

Treadmill circuits (NEMA 5-20R, isolated neutral and ground) and rubber flooring go in before delivery day. Flooring can ride along with the order through Fit Supply so the sequence is automatic.

Curbside is the default. Inside placement, stair carries and installation are quoted with the order for the service areas our crews cover — not negotiated on the driveway.

Know the terms
Payment is 50% down and 50% at delivery unless the proposal says otherwise; product not accepted within 10 days of the scheduled date is subject to a storage fee; freight insurance is an add-on; pickup voids the warranty. It is all written in our terms of sale.

Every one of these is a return trip somebody pays for.
No dedicated circuit
The most common one. The treadmill is placed and cannot be commissioned.
The route nobody measured
The basement stair, the 30-in interior door, the elevator an inch too short.
Flooring still in the box
Machines placed on bare concrete and moved again a week later.
Signing before inspecting
Freight damage not noted at delivery may become yours. Look first, sign second.
Curbside when you needed inside
A 450-lb treadmill on a pallet in the driveway. Decide inside delivery with the quote.
