The real ranges, straight from the floor
Across the cardio floor: used commercial treadmills list from roughly $1,200 to $4,500, with the middle of the range around $1,900. Exercise bikes are the budget door — from $395 for indoor cycles up to about $2,500 for touchscreen recumbents. Ellipticals and cross trainers run about $1,000 to $3,300. On the strength side, single selectorized machines mostly land between $1,000 and $3,000, plate-loaded pieces from about $700 to $3,000, and the free-weight corner — benches, racks, bars — starts under $300. What actually moves the price
Three things, in order. First, the condition tier: the same machine carries two real prices, and the gap between Cleaned & Serviced and Remanufactured is the cost of a repaint and all-new wear parts. Second, brand and generation — a touchscreen-console Precor or Life Fitness commands more than the same frame with a basic console, because facilities pay for what members see. Third, size: bigger, heavier machines cost more to move, which shows up in the delivered price even when the sticker is similar.
The Texas advantage is freight
Used equipment prices anywhere in the country start from a warehouse somewhere — and for this catalog, that warehouse is at DFW Airport. Texas buyers pay a local truck run instead of interstate freight, Metroplex buyers can skip delivery entirely with free pickup, and even El Paso is one fixed-price freight leg. That difference is real money on a delivered-price basis, and it is why the same machine effectively costs a Texas buyer less than a coastal one.
Budgeting a whole room
