Supported entry and exit, not max load
Senior Living
Fitness and wellness rooms for senior living communities
Active-aging and senior living communities need lower-impact cardio and supported strength equipment — recumbent bikes, upright cycles, and selectorized machines with easy entry and exit, not a free-weight platform. Since 2012, Discount Online Fitness has outfitted spaces like these nationwide from its DFW Airport, Texas warehouse.
The equipment brief here is close to medical/rehab for the same underlying reason: residents need a low step-through height and supported entry/exit, whether they're training independently or under supervision.
The scope
What we handle for Senior Living
Equipment consultation
Recommendations built around resident population and supervision level — not just whatever cardio and strength equipment is cheapest in stock.
Procurement
Sourcing recumbent, upright and selectorized equipment specifically suited to lower-impact, supported use.
Warranty
Clear warranty terms, the same discipline applied to medical and rehab accounts given how equipment reliability affects resident programming.
Delivery
Delivery scoped to a community's real access, freight-quoted rather than estimated.
How we handle it
How we plan for Senior Living
Resident population and supervision level drive the spec
Tell us the resident population and typical supervision level when you request a quote — independent use and staff-supervised sessions call for different adjustability and resistance ranges even on similar-looking equipment.
Entry/exit height rules equipment in or out before price does
A machine that's otherwise a good fit gets ruled out if the step-through or seat height doesn't work for the resident population — we treat that as a hard constraint, not a preference.
In short
Senior and active-aging communities are a real, ongoing part of DOF's customer base. Equipment recommendations prioritize supported entry/exit and lower-impact operation over price alone, following the same resident-population-first logic used for medical and rehab accounts.

Frequently asked questions
Do I get a warranty on used equipment?
It depends on the condition tier. As-Is equipment carries no warranty and is sold at its stated condition. Cleaned & Serviced includes a 30-day parts-and-labor warranty. Remanufactured includes a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Full terms are in our Terms and Conditions.
Which condition tier should I choose?
It depends on the tradeoff you care about: Cleaned & Serviced if function per dollar matters most — it arrives mechanically serviced but keeps its cosmetic wear, since touch-up isn't included in that tier. Remanufactured if appearance matters too — repainted, worn parts replaced with new, made mechanically sound. Tell us the use case when you request a quote and we'll recommend one rather than leave it to guesswork.
How is delivery priced?
This equipment is heavy and ships pre-assembled, so freight is quoted per order against your real delivery ZIP rather than a flat estimate. Tell us whether it's a home delivery (driveway, garage door, stairs) or a commercial one (loading dock, elevator, freight-hours access) — the two are quoted differently.
